This protocol is designed to help homeschool families identify the most important instructional components to prioritize when deciding instructional systems for students in grades 3–5.

Rather than focusing on brands or programs first, families should evaluate whether the curriculum includes the foundational skills and instructional components students need developmentally during the upper elementary years.
