The EmpowerED Path
That realization became the foundation for EmpowerED.
We created EmpowerED from a simple observation: homeschool families have the heart, passion, and drive to create meaningful learning experiences, but often lack the tools, guidance, and sustainable systems needed to truly flourish. Our mission is to bridge the gap between passion and practice by helping families move beyond survival mode and into a rhythm that supports both learning and family well-being.
Through personalized coaching, customized learning plans, and practical systems, we help families reduce overwhelm, build confidence, and make empowered educational decisions that align with their values, goals, and children’s unique needs.
EmpowerED was born from both professional experience and personal need.
As educators and homeschool parents, we quickly realized there was an incredible amount of freedom and autonomy in homeschooling — but very little direction on where to begin. Like many families, we experienced the uncertainty, constant decision-making, and pressure of trying to figure it all out alone. While curriculum options were abundant, the systems and structured support needed to confidently implement them were often missing.
Rooted in faith and educational expertise, The EmpowerED Path exists to transform uncertainty into clarity and chaos into confidence so families can create an educational experience where both their children and family thrive.

Hi, I’m Alyssa Crowther, founder of EmpowerED. I am passionate about helping homeschool families create sustainable learning systems that support both student growth and family well-being.I have worked in public education for 14 years and have served in a variety of educational roles including elementary teacher, virtual school startup leadership, instructional coaching, and educational training. Currently, I support school districts across the state of Kansas as an educational trainer, helping educators and leaders strengthen systems, support learners, and improve outcomes for students.In addition to my professional experience, I am also a homeschool parent. Through my own homeschool journey, I quickly recognized the overwhelm, uncertainty, and constant decision-making that many families face. I understand firsthand the challenge of balancing educational goals with the realities of everyday family life, and that perspective has deepened my passion for helping families create realistic, sustainable systems that truly work for them.Throughout my career and personal experience, I have developed strengths in instructional support, intervention planning, systems alignment, and helping diverse learners succeed. I especially enjoy helping families reduce overwhelm, build routines that work in real life, and create personalized learning plans that fit their unique goals and values.As a wife, mom, educator, and active member of my community, I value practical solutions, meaningful relationships, and creating environments where children and families can thrive together.My goal is to come alongside families with encouragement, clarity, and personalized support so they can homeschool with greater confidence, purpose, and sustainability.
